Grease used to lubricate the chain in use until the wheel bearings, lubricants serves like oil, it's just shaped like a thick paste. Many types of grease, grease different places different demands, also influenced by temperature and pressure.
 
 Not just for motorcycles, cars for the same course, the example is the grease for lubrication of wheel bearings, grease on this designation must have a resistance to heat, high pressure and resistant to water, and if you choose the wrong grease for the wheels, it is possible to grease dry, so lubrication of the wheel bearings disappeared.
